 Mental Health
First Aid

Mental Health First Aid is the support offered to someone who may be struggling with their mental health for the very first time, or someone who may have a recurring (relapse) mental health condition, such as Depression, Anxiety or Schizophrenia.

As a trained Mental Health First Aider you will be able to spot the signs and symptoms of poor mental health, have the confidence to broach the situation and provide appropriate support until professional help can be obtained, if it is required. You will also understand the importance of raising awareness of mental health, reducing stigma and discrimination, and encouraging a tolerant community.
